Avi was born in April of 1977 in Canada. Soon after he was moved to Ghana where he lived until his family relocated to the Far East in 1991. The next few years were spent shuffling between boarding school in Singapore and home in Jakarta, traveling extensively around Europe, and finally landing up in Hawaii to attend Hawaii Pacific University. Soon after that he relocated back to Ghana, then back to Indonesia and is currently settled in China. A Jack of all trades, he continues to explore the planet in his search for meaning.
